I started piping in 1993 under the tutelage of Andrew Hoag, former PM of the Macalester College Pipe Band in St. Paul, MN.  In 1999 I relocated to Bemidji, MN and started the 1st City Pipe Band, which eventually dissolved in 2005, and simultaneously assisted the Fort Frances Highlanders in Ontario, Canada.  These days I am back touring and competeing with Macalester's G3 Band under PM Mike Breidenbach. 

(Not to name drop, but. . .) over the course of my piping endeavor I have received instruction from the likes of Alasdair Gillies, James McIntosh, John Cairns, and Jake Watson.  I have played at numerous private functions and events throughout MN, ND and NW Ontario and have performed with the bands Celtic Crossing, Ceilidh, Seven Nations, Rod Stewart at the Excel Center in St. Paul, MN and in February 2010 the band was invited to play with the foremost Irish Folk band in the world; The Chieftains at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, MN.  In 2005 I was the musical guest for a Suzanne Somers family gathering (remember Chrissy from 3's Company?) and in 2006 I was honored to send off the US Mens & Womens Olympic Curling Team to the Olympics in Torin, Italy.
